 diet and nutrition

Recently there has been an interest in fatty acids as they are essential for normal brain development and function but are often lacking from modern diets. These omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids are found in fish and sea food, some nuts and seeds and green leafy vegetables. Dr Alex Richardson has done a study on Nutrition in Behaviour and Learning. You may be interested in her article entitled: "DYSLEXIA, DYSPRAXIA, ADHD AND THE AUTISTIC SPECTRUM - CAN FATTY ACIDS HELP?"

It is always advisable to check with your doctor before taking any supplements.

For vision therapy to succeed the brain needs energy. In this respect it is necessary for one to look at the patient's nutrition.

We work proactively with Ms Jules Cattell, a nutritionist from equilibria Health UK, with training from the Californian Autism Research Institute.
